Modern leases require the tenant to put and keep the premises in repair. This onerous obligation can be mitigated by stating it is to be kept in no better state than exists at the beginning of the lease. We can provide the necessary assessments and certificates.</p> <p>At lease expiry, if the premises are not delivered up in the condition required by the lease, i.e. in repair, the Landlord will seek to ensure that the works are either carried out or they are paid compensation.
